I used to worry a lot. Worrying was my habit. It makes me secured when I worry because I was foreseeing hitches and problems and preparing by having plans A, B and C. I was heavily relying on my own brain capacity and strength - this was stressful and frustrating.

Now I am recognizing that God is sovereign and he cares for me. He is faithful to His promises so I no longer need to stress out and be worried about anything.   

The LORD is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?

Illumi Run

I'm so excited about this first of its kind of run in Asia. Come on illumi glow water!

So there are a lot of fun runs here in Singapore like The Color Run, Nike She Runs and The Happy Run. Here's another unique run which is involves glow water, glow lightings and DJs. This night run slash party promises an electrifying experience!

And what I'm excited the most about? I'm going with a friend who is running for the very first time. It'll be memorable!

Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2013

Race pack of what would have been my first marathon. Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore or Marathon Singapore is the biggest international marathon in Singapore. It is held annually on the first Sunday of December and has a record of 50,000 participants (whoah!) in 2009.

So if a person will only have one run (whatever distance) in a year, you'll see him/her at this one :) 

3 Reasons to Travel While You’re Young

I'm no longer as young as I would want to be but I've started travelling recently and I'm enjoying it while I'm still single and able.

But why travel instead of saving and working your ass off?
1. Travel is best done when you are at your best physical state, i.e. when you are young and healthy.
2. Travel will open your eyes and you'll see the world. This will help you in your studies, work and relationships.
3. Travel will trigger your zest for life, ignite your passion and make you fall in love.

Thai Affair

My craving for mango salad took us to Thai Affair - an authentic Thai restaurant at The Central. They didn't have mango salad but had papaya salad and I enjoyed their lunch sets at $8.90 net including an appetizer, a main dish and drink - not too bad for a quick lunch in the city :)

The appetizers were average in taste, the spaghetti red curry is a new concept to me and my favorite is the pad ka prao in pork which is really tasty and spicy.

5 Regrets People Make on their Deathbed

This year of 2013 has been a turning point in my life. I've committed my life to Jesus and started engaging my faith. Acknowledging His presence and overflowing goodness, I'm left wondering what's next and this desire to make my life worthwhile and to be of use to others.

Early this morning, a friend shared me this verse:

33 “No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light. 34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy,[a] your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy,[b] your body also is full of darkness. 35 See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. 36 Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you.” (Luke 11:33-36 NIV)


This verse reminds me that whatever I'm experiencing should reflect in my words, actions and decisions moving forward. I'm no longer the old person I was and should bring with with me my light wherever I go. Live life with passion, with purpose and regretless.
